A development of the highly successful British Churchill tank, the Crocodile replaced the tank's hull machine gun with a flamethrower, but retained the thick armour and 75mm gun of the base vehicle. The fuel for the flamethrower was transported in a trailer towed behind the tank, which could be jettisoned in an emergency. This made the Crocodile much less vulnerable than some other flamethrowing vehicles, and the combination of weaponry made it an incredibly versatile war machine. first seeing action in Normandy, the Crocodile's flamethrower inspired such terror in enemy troops that its mere presence could induce them to surrender.
In games of Bolt Action, the Churchill Crocodile is a powerful asset for any British Armoured Platoon, boasting super-heavy armour, a medium anti-trank gun, and of course, its flamethrower!
It can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, and its rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
