Note: Insert designed for games with external box dimensions of 29.5 x 29.5 x 7.1 cm.

The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The boards and player boards act as a lid on top of the trays. There is space for all cards to be sleeved.
With the top layer removed you can see the second layer of trays underneath. There is also a third square tray for the ocean tiles in the top right corner underneath the tray shown with the white cubes.
These are the card trays, four are arranged to store cards vertically, and three to store them horizontally. Of the two large vertical trays, one is for project cards, and one is for the Prelude cards and the Colony tiles. The two narrow vertical trays are for the reference cards and the corporations. The three horizontal trays are for project cards. There is space for all cards to be sleeved with quality sleeves.
These are the trays for the Greenery/City tiles, and the resource cubes. There are two of each type so they can be placed on either side of the board during game play to give all players easy access. The resource cube trays have ledges inside to make it easier to access the copper and gold cubes.
These are the remaining trays. There are four player marker trays, all of which have ledges to make access to the cubes easier. The other trays are for the remaining game components as shown.
As mentioned above all the trays can be used during the game to organise the components and make access by all players easy.
The game boards and rule books go on top of the central trays and act as a lid keeping the game pieces in the trays. The lid closes flush, and the box can be stored vertically. When placing them inside, first go the two game boards, followed by the Venus and Colonies side boards. Next go the player boards, and then the expansion rule books. Lastly the game rules go on top, filling the box.
The insert also allows for storage of the Kickstarter version of the Turmoil® expansion. The main game box will not have room for the Kickstarter player boards or the expansion boards however, and these should be stored separately in the Turmoil box. All the other components can be added to the insert trays as shown below.
The colour delegate pieces can be added to each of the five player piece trays.
The other components are arranged as shown. The ocean tiles remain in their tray, and the colony ship pieces are placed in the third square tray together with the small white cubes. The ruling policy tiles, grey neutral delegates, and terrafomer milestone tile are placed in the rectangular tray with the first player marker and other milestone overlay tiles. The large white cubes are then added to the special hex tile tray.
If your cards are sleeved, then you will need to use the slot for the colony tiles for cards. This includes the KS exclusive cards from the expansion. The colony tiles should be moved to the Turmoil box together with the player boards and Turmoil boards.
If your cards are not sleeved, then there will be sufficient space for all the cards in the trays, as per the normal use of
