The M185 155mm howitzer fires a wide variety of ammunition, including conventional high explosive, DPICM (Dual-Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions) bomblets, scatterable minelets, and Copperhead laser-guided projectiles out to a range of 18 km (11 miles).
