It can be used for The Long Night stand-alone expansion, but it is not designed for it. The components will not fit perfectly in each tray, and the lid might lift a little. It will work for game play though.

The insert is designed so that pieces snap into place, but due to variances in wood, glue may be necessary to secure the pieces together. We recommend wood glue, but quick drying glue works as well.
